This kit lets you connect up to five different switches to a computer via USB and try out a range of access methods, from no‑touch proximity activation to light touch mechanical pads. It is intended for switch assessment, access trials, and training in school, clinic, and home settings.
What’s included and how it’s used:
SixPack Switch – Has six built-in pressure switches, each measuring 2" x 1 3/4". Can be used as an adapted mouse when paired with the ATEC Computer Switch.
ATEC Computer Switch Interface – Connects up to five standard 3.5 mm switches to a USB port and lets those switches act as mouse moves (up, down, left, right) and click or as common keyboard commands. Use it to give a student full mouse access using only switches for computer activities, software access, or AAC trials.
HoneyBee Proximity Switch – A no‑pressure sensor switch that activates when a hand, head, or other body part comes within a set distance (touch, 1 in, 3 in, or 6 in), ideal for students with extremely limited movement or who cannot press.
Link Switch – The LinkSwitch is a switch-latch timer that enables individuals to activate battery-operated devices using any adaptive switch with a standard plug 1) Latch mode: First hit turns the toy/device on, second hit turns it off, so the user does not have to hold the switch down 2) Timed mode: One activation runs the device for a pre‑set number of seconds or minutes, then it shuts off automatically.
Taction Pad + Adapter – Clear, adhesive-backed plastic switches that are activated by contact with your skin. Simply peel the backing off and stick the Taction Pad on almost any object or surface. This effectively turns the object or surface into a switch allowing trials with students who have fair range but low strength or who benefit from a larger activation surface.
